In the 2009 Interprovincial Mathematics Olympiad Team which consists of the Top 10 learners from various schools, 6 learners were fromStarCollege. 2009 OCTOBER, UPMC – University Of Pretoria Maths Competition JUNIOR SECTION; 1 Gold Medal
2009 JULY, EBIKO – INTERNATIONAL INFORMATRIX PROJECT OLYMPIAD Nadeem Ballim represented South Africa in Ankara in Turkey. His computer programming project “Question / Test Generator” was awarded with a BRONZE MEDAL.
2009 JUNE, KZN Parallel Competition A Maths Challenge was run amongst all grade-9 learners in KZN. Approximately 400 schools and 800 learners attended where each school is represented by 2 learners. Prenen Chetty Gold Medal Shivaan Hiralal Silver Medal

2009 JUNE, PANAFRICAN MATHS OLYMPIAD (PAMO) Arlton Gilbert won a GOLD MEDAL in Pan African Maths Olympiad in PRETORIA 2009 JUNE, South Africa hosted the 10th IWYMIC in Durban in June. There were around 240 participants of 6o teams from 20 different countries all over the world in this challenge known as Invitational World Youth Mathematics Intercity Competition.
