Honourable Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma Visited the Star College

On Wednesday 17 February, Star College had the privilege of African Union Commission Chairperson, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma visiting the school. In an address to the school learners, Honourable Dlamini-Zuma stated how she was inspired by the success of Star College.  She encouraged the learners on the importance of education, coming from a poor background herself. She emphasized that they should continue to contribute to education as they enter into their adult life and offer scholarships in education.  She was overjoed by the school’s scholarship programme assisting disadvantaged learners.  She thanked Star College for their contribution to the country’s education.  Honourable Dlamini-Zuma addressed women’s rights and she spoke passionately on being proud of South Africa. The learners then enjoyed tea with her.  They were very inspired by her words and love she has for South Africa.  Bridges were built as she mentioned that she studied at Adams College, who will be addressing the matric learners soon. Thank you for joining us Honourable Dlamini-Zuma.  You have blessed the school with your time and uplifting words. We thank you.
